The Counterslip Electricity Generating Station. This station supplied the power for Bristol's trams. When the bridge next door was destroyed in the Blitz of December, 1940, the supply for the trams was lost and so came to an end 65 years of trams in Bristol. Luckily BTCC had been introducing motor buses since 1936 so there was no loss of services.
