| This is the entrance to the car park. In the 1950's the shop on the corner with the signs against the wall was a jeweller/ watchmaker. |

| The Crofts with adjoining dilapidated out-buildings, an orchard and a tennis court.
This land would soon be taken up by the building of the TA Centre and its MT buildings and vehicle park in Elmgrove Road.

| During the 1950's and 1960's these shops were occupied by: (from left to right)
Middlesex Motors showroom, A carpet Shop, Peter's Pet shop
A Wall's Ice Cream Parlour, A Bank/Buliding society I think it was TSB, Radio Rentals, Sybils ladies wear,a restaurant, Clements fancy goods shop, Bata's shoe shop and a furniture store. |

I'm certain that there was a Millett's clothing shop somewhere at the Wealdstone end of the parade, as well. |

| This is the 'Candy Shop'. When it came to sweets, if they didn't have it, it didn't exist. Perfectly positioned for buying a Jamboree bag on the way to Saturday morning pictures at the Granada. |

I think that it's still there in some shape or form. There was another sweet shop around the corner in Bonnersfield Lane that had a selection of gum machines outside. There was also a rather curious place called Degg's Store, which was a tiny place that sold..... well, everything. It was run by a chap (presumably Mr Degg) who wore the world's most unconvincing toupée. |

Does anyone know when Drys Garage on the corner of station road/Bonnerfield lane was pulled down? It was opposite the Granada cinema. Two cottages in Bonnersfield Lane were also demolished to make way for an ugly modern office block which is still there on the corner today. Does anyone know when this block was built? Thanks |
