The Severn Canal Carrying Depot at Bridge Street was used by craft carrying merchandise to and from Birmingham. The title of the company had been shortened. This group of warehouses had different owners over time, and one of the warehouses was once occupied by Pickford & Co.

Site of Birmingham Corporation Stone and Salvage Depot. The Worcester & Birmingham Canal at this point was known as Salvage Turn. The railway tracks presently there were moved from another location and have no connection with the Salvage Depot

The remains of the Gibson's Arm canal basins, the highest canal in Birmingham at one time, they were a single lock above the main Birmingham level accessed from Crescent Wharf on the Newhall Branch, water being back pumped by steam power to maintain the water level.
