Uxbridge Metropolitan Police Station. -------- After new police station built late 20thC, the former premises became a Public House aptly named "The Old Bill". But in recent past name changed again.

Is this the start of house clearance for the new tracks leading to new Underground station in High Street (opened end of 1938)?

Not quite - not an extension - the old line/station located in Belmont Road was by-passed by new lines leading to the new station in the High Street which opened at the end of '38. The original extension was planned to be to High Wycombe, which is why the station was built in Belmont Road in the first place.

Sorry - this is the Savoy, not the Regal, which was on the other side of the High Street further east.
