 Christ Church, adjacent to the town Library, Church was demolished and replaced with retail in 1979/80. In this church the funeral of Anne Bronte was held on 30th May 1849 , she had died nearby and is buried at St Mary's Church in Scarborough. |

| The United bus depot on Vernon Road, opened c1930, with some beautiful art deco detailing. The site is now used as a car park but happily the art deco details are still there. |
