Later the Gate Studio. Previously called Whitehall Studios, Consolidated Studios, J.H. Studios and M.P. Studios (all qv). The last film made at the studio was John Wesley in 1954 (Source: http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/organisation/35959) In November 1928 photo EPW025491 this building is called The Whitehall Studio.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the proximity of this studio to the railway line and Elstree Station caused problems when the switch-over from silent to sound films took place i.e. the advent of the "talkies" and that a "look-out" was posted (on the studio roof?) to warn of approaching trains. Noisy things, steam engines!
