Wisbech East station. Opened by the Great Eastern Railway, closed in 1968. There was a short extension northwards to Harbour goods station, and just to the east of Wisbech the noted Wisbech and Upwell Tramway turned off SE-wards.
The main line continued eastwards to the Ely-King's Lynn line which it joined at Magdalen Road.
The Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway had a line on the west side of the River Nene - this closed to passengers in 1959 and to all traffic in 1965. |
