These appear to be the 3 Avro 707 'miniature' Vulcans. They were built to explore wing shapes and intake variations prior to the prototype Vulcan being flown. They did a display with the Vulcan prototype at Farnborough and were painted (one of each) red, white and blue.

I was at Farnborough in 1953 as a 14 year old school boy. Roly Falk brought the Vulcan down fairly low along the runway and did a barrel roll, for which he got a ticking off as Bombers just didn't do things like that!

The 'crescent' wing shape was derived from captured WW2 German technology.

The Victor was painted in a dramatic light blue / black (or maybe very dark blue) livery, with a red cheat line half way down the side of the fuselage, at this time.
