Tedbar Tinker's Twentywell Brickworks and Twentywell Stone Company quarry, opened in 1870 - closed in 1939. Several generations of the Slater family were employed here between 1870 and 1939. My great grandfather, Joseph Slater was Master Brickmaker here until his death in an accident at the works in November 1928, aged 43. Also to be seen are Poynton Villas and Castle Row.
