Trolleybuses at the North Woolwich terminal stand. The longest, at 3 miles, of the trolleybus extentions beyond the original tramway system, trolleybuses commenced running here with route 669 from 6th February 1938. Two further routes, the 685, from 8th May 1940, and the 569 from 29th October 1941 joined the 669. With the conversion to diesel buses underway route 569 was withdrawn on 10th November 1959, followed 3 months later on 2nd February by the other two routes thus ending 22 years of trolleybuses serving this area.
