A "run round loop" so as an arriving train can have their loco change ends so allowing it to propel the wagons into the factory unloading bays.

Again, all details are correct. looking west this time. The "Cauliflower" is in Foleshill (public) Goods Yard sidings.

The signalbox identified by Purcellis an LNWR type 5 design, opened in 1915.

oops, cobbled this one up! On enlarging it, the goods train is on the Up Main line, not in the goods yard. And the signalbox is LNWR type 4 (not type 5), built in 1880s, only enlarged in 1915!

SS Cars, Triumph, Riley and Dunlop all had factories in this part of Coventry so a Piston Ring works would fit in with the other industries. The railway station in the centre by the main road bridge was Foleshill station.

We are looking at The Foleshill area of Coventry. Lockhurst Lane in the foreground crosses the railway line running from Coventry to Nuneaton and there is a steam locomotive heading in the direction of Coventry. Beyond The Brico Piston Ring Works is Burnaby Road and beyond that what is today Dunlop Company.
