These are spare traction poles stored ready for use in the town. Traction poles were planted in the pavements at the roadside to hold the trolleybus wires aloft.

Parked up tower wagons and maintenance vehicles for trolleybus overhead repairs. Some of these vehicles maybe withdrawn from use and awaiting disposal? One vehicle, converted from a former bus, has had the overhead tower assembly removed, which may have been transferred to a replacement vehicle?

WW2 wartime air raid shelter for garage staff at Park Lane Bus Depot from 1939-1945. Part of this site where the shelter stood, was later fenced off and a modern post war electrical sub station built. The post war sub station was dismantled in the early years of the 21st Century.

This is likely trolleybus overhead repair tower wagon No4? No 4 was a Fordson Thames chassis & cab fitted, with bodywork and tower made by Eagle of Warwick. The vehicle was new in 1942.

By 1948, Wolverhampton CT were only operating four single deck trolleybuses (207, 208, 232 & 233) of which this is one. The remainder 206, 210-213 & 231 had been withdrawn between 1944-1945.
