Pretty sure this is the Albion Inn. In the book, Walsall Pubs A History it states:- "The Albion was closed at 2pm 19th May 1936 and the license transferred to the new Belle Vue, Moat Road." It was thought the premises then became offices for the Co-op Society.

The White Horse Inn. Listed in the 1936 Red Book next door to the pub' was the White Horse Brewery and Twist's Brewery (barrels can be seen in the yard) at the same address. It appears that these two breweries are the same as the proprietor of both is G. S. Twist.

Walsall Canal, complete with sunken barges. This area is now titled Walsall Waterfront....it's a canal, talk about delusions of grandeur.

How about that, you can actually read the sign written words "Kirkpatrick Ltd" on the double gates.
