Perrott's Folly.
Built 1758 by John Perrott, reason unknown, hence 'folly'
Believed it may have been to view his estate, watch hunting or to be able to view the site of his wife's grave.
Also believed to be the inspitaion for one of the 'twin towers' from J R R Tolkien's 'Lord Of The Rings', along with the Edgbaston Waterworks tower.
