Joseph Lucas Ltd - Great Hampton Street works, built 1929. Joseph Lucas started in 1872 in nearby Little King Street and expanded to Great King Street circa 1890. The major factory buildings in Great King Street have been demolished (circa 1988) but the Great Hampton Street building has been retained as part of the preservation of the "Jewellery Quarter". It has been converted into New York style loft apartments and is named "New Hampton Lofts". '
