This bridge is (still) known as 'White Bridge'. I remember the road facing walls being painted white in the early 1950s. They were still white when I revisited the area in 2014. I used to attend a council run nursery in the single story prefabricated building just to the right of the bridge. It was called 'Dewsnap Lane Nursery'.
My father worked at the Daniel Adamson engineering works during the early/mid 1950s. '
